Dance2xs The organization and Background.
Dance2xs is non-profit dance company with an international network. It was founded by American choreographer/dancer Patrick Chen in 1998 in Chicago. The project began at the University of Illinois when an enthusiastic group of dancers performed a series of successful shows including Dance of Chicago - totally capturing their audience’s imagination. Dance2xs rapidly expanded throughout the USA, from Chicago to New York. In 2003 the troupe went international, forming Dance2XS companies in United Kingdom, Portugal, Brazil, Prague, Italy & Australia.
Dance2xs United Kingdom
Dance2xs UK was formed in Feb 2003 led by Francisco Gomez, assisted by Kimberley Taylor, managed by Sarah Lim. It is an exciting troupe of young vibrant artist creating new breed of talent for the dance and entertainment industries.
Started with only 8 dancers and relatively unknown, within three years it expanded to 36 dancers, now the company is known throughout the commercial dance industry and has been invited to perform in high profile events, festivals and competitions, nationally and overseas.
Dance2xs currently conducts their own classes at the internationally renown Pineapple studios in Covent Garden. And had hosted a series of master classes by top choreographers from all over the world.
